Biarritz situated in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department of Aquitaine in South West France 11kms from the Spanish border and 7 hours from Paris (775 km) with direct flights from the UK, Ireland, Paris and Lyon.

Biarritz-Anglet-Bayonne International Airport is 3 km from the town centre, car hire desks are located in the terminal building, if not picking up a hire car then regular bus connections run to the centre (every 20mins).

It is worth pointing out that there is no connection between Biarritz train station, 3 km from the town centre, and Biarritz Airport. The Train station is on the TGV line from Paris (5hrs).

Biarritz is quite hilly and although pedestrianised wandering around can be hard, especially during the hot summer months, the beach is easily walked from the town centre. Shopping is well provided for with major brands located right in the centre.
